Celebrating Dort Financial Credit Union Members at “Night with the Flint Firebirds”

We recently celebrated our credit union members by hosting “Night with the Flint Firebirds”, a member appreciation event, on Wednesday, October 19th at the Dort Financial Center in Flint.

Since the cancellation of the Annual Member Appreciation Movie Day in 2020, Dort Financial Credit Union has held several smaller-scale events to celebrate members throughout the year, while actively being a part of the community. All credit union members were invited to attend “Night with the Flint Firebirds”, and could request up to four tickets per credit union membership.

Several thousand credit union members attended this event with their family and friends. Included with free admission to the Flint Firebirds vs. Sarnia Sting game were also discounts on concession items, a free co-branded hat to the first 2,500 fans, a bounce house for children, and balloon twisters and face paintings during the game. Dort Financial Credit Union team members were on hand throughout the evening to pass out special items and greet fans as they arrived, sharing in all of the excitement.

Not only did credit union members benefit from the evening, the Flint Firebirds scored within the first two minutes of the game and pulled out a 4-1 win against Sarnia, sending everyone in attendance home with a free sub from Jersey Mikes and a free hot-n-ready pizza from Little Caesars!

We are extremely grateful to be able to celebrate our members by hosting local events and sharing in experiences with our community. We are thankful to the Flint Firebirds, for partnering with us  and being a host location for such a fun event, and we look forward to offering more member events in 2023!
