Dort Financial’s Annual Campaign Raises Over $49,000 To Support Michigan, Florida Non-Profits
Dort Financial Credit Union has announced the results of its 2025 annual Snowman Sales fundraiser benefiting four charities. The local credit union raised $49,009 during the campaign through donations from credit union members and employees.
Dort Financial Credit Union, which operates as Flagler Credit Union in the Florida market, announced that four organizations each received a donation of $12,252.75. The 2025 beneficiaries selected by Dort Financial Credit Union and Flagler Credit Union employees included Carriage Town Ministries (Flint, MI), Garrett’s Place Life Skills Center for Autism (Burton, MI), Blessed Paws Animal Rescue (Lake Worth, FL), and Speak up for Kids (West Palm Beach, FL).
The annual fundraiser continues to be a success for community charities thanks to Dort Financial and Flagler Credit Union members, who graciously donate each year during a six-week campaign.
“Each donation of up to $100 transforms into a cheerful paper snowman proudly displayed in our credit union branches, creating a joyful visual reminder of the generosity within our community,” said Dort Chief Human Resources Officer Deana Turcott.
Funds were also raised by collecting donations from Dort Financial and Flagler Credit Union employees by hosting special days, on which all money raised went directly towards the snowman sales.
Dort Financial Credit Union has raised money for charities with snowman sales for over 20 years.
“We are absolutely thrilled to have raised more than $49,000 for local charities for the second year in a row,” Turcott added. “Our members continue to open their hearts, supporting the organizations our team members have chosen with remarkable kindness. It’s truly an honor to stand alongside such compassionate communities and play a role in making a meaningful difference.”
