The Student Scholarship Program received a high number of submissions again this year from student-members from both Dort Financial Credit Union and Flagler Credit Union.
“We received nearly 100 applications for the Student Scholarship Program this year,” said Beverly Kittle, Dort Financial Scholarship Committee Chair. “It is exciting to have so many students apply and see our credit union grow with younger members.”
Recipients were selected based on a variety of criteria including their academic achievements, extracurricular activities, and service to their communities.
“We are happy to be able to help our members take the next step in their educational journey to universities and colleges across the nation,” Kittle noted.
Dort Financial Credit Union Board Chairman, Wayne Natzke congratulated the scholarship recipients and thanked the Dort Financial Board committee members for their work on this year’s scholarship program.
“Dort Financial and Flagler Credit Union graciously support our communities through acts of volunteerism, donations and sponsorships, and through the annual scholarship,” Natzke said. “We are proud to show our commitment to all of our communities, the ones that we have been a part of for decades, and also the newer ones we serve.”
