February 1st:  Special Olympics Michigan-Fenton Polar Plunge  
The statewide Polar Plunge series in which individuals raise $75 or more for the chance to plunge into icy waters throughout Michigan in January-March helps to support over 22,000 Special Olympics Michigan athletes who train and compete year-round. February 7^th – 9^th : Back to the Bricks Chrome and Ice Winter Indoor Car Show
Dort Financial Credit Union is once again  proud to be the brought to you by sponsor this winter car show. The 10th Annual Chrome & Ice™ will be a three day event, February 7-9, 2025, and will feature an amazing collection of cars. Plus, it will feature classic, and custom vehicles, sports cars, muscle cars, hot rods, and trucks in the two arenas and on the mezzanine. With more than 50 sponsors and automotive-related vendor displays, demonstrations, concessions, live entertainment, it will be a good time for all. February 7^th:  Clara’s Hope, Changing Generations Annual Fundraiser
The idea of Clara’s Hope came about in 2013 after founders, Dave and Tami Kromer, adopted their youngest daughter, Clara.  As foster parents for over ten years, the Kromers strongly believe that no parent should have to do foster care alone.  Two of their children were adopted through foster care with very little support.  After adopting Clara, who was born with a terminal condition, their church and community rallied around the family with much support.  The Kromers realized this is what adoption and foster care should look like and envisioned starting an organization that could provide such support to families in Genesee and Livingston Counties. Clara’s Hope is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. For more information about this event, please click here.

March 16^th: Dabble Mom 2 Mom Free Event

Bring your slightly used items to Dabble so that other parents can pick them up to use. What a great way to give back to your community and help those around you. Anything left over will either be held for next year’s event or donated to local charities, schools, or daycares. Learn more here.

Dort Financial $2,000 Student Scholarship Program
The credit union movement was founded on the philosophy of “People Helping People”. In keeping with our philosophy, Dort Financial Credit Union’s student scholarship program was established to help our members achieve their higher educational goals. We are offering fifteen (15) $2,000 scholarships this year to graduating high school seniors or older students seeking to further their education after high school. Applications are accepted now to March 7, 2025.
