Independence Day Happenings

Dort Financial Credit is proud to be a part of the excitement of Fourth of July in our communities. This year, whether you are looking for fun, fireworks, food, or more, you can find what you’re looking for at the Lapeer Fireworks, Fenton Freedom Festival, or the Clio Area Community Fireworks. We are wishing all credit union members a happy and safe Independence Day!

July 13th: Genesee County Habitat for Humanity’s Bastille Day Race

The Genesee County Habitat for Humanity’s Bastille Day Race is upon us! The event features three timed, certified races: the 15K run, the 5K run, and the 5K walk. All proceeds will be used to support the mission of providing decent, affordable housing in Genesee County. Yearly, Genesee Habitat builds or rehabs 4-6 affordable homes, provides approximately 200 homeowners with critical repairs, and invests in various neighborhood improvement projects. This year, they are hoping to raise $30,000 to support their mission of providing homes, communities and hope in Genesee County. Visit their website for more information.

July 20th: Grand Blanc Chamber of Commerce’s July Summer Jam with Kolby Oakley wsg The John Vance Band

What better way to celebrate Summer than with a concert? And to top it off, all local veterans will receive free admission. Welcome up and coming country music star, Kolby Oakley all the way from Nashville! Kolby brings his style of country and classic rock to the stage and you will not be disappointed!
