August 3: Special Days Camp
Special Days Camp is a one-week, residential camp program available to any child who had or currently has cancer. Special Days Camp gives these youngsters a chance to be “just kids” and experience the fun of traditional summer camp with an experienced team of oncology doctors and nurses standing by. Dort Financial Credit Union is thrilled to be a part of this experience, and encourage others to get involved or donate if you can. You can learn more here.

August 13th- 15th: Whaley Children’s Center RoofSit
Whaley Children’s Center is excited to team up with The Cars 108 Wake-Up Show to take on an extraordinary challenge to raise funds for the children in care. From August 13-15, 2025, they will be spending three days on the roof of the McDonald’s located across from Grand Blanc High School, to raise awareness and funds for the needs of the 48 foster children currently living at the Center.

Every child deserves a comfortable and loving home, and every dollar raised will go towards making that a reality for kids in care. Every little bit counts and will help to provide a safe and nurturing environment for these children to grow, learn and heal. Let’s come together to make a difference in the lives of these children. September 13th : Dort Financial Shred Day
This year, Dort Financial is hosting one Shred Day at the Pierson Rd. and State Rd, locations on Saturday, September 13th from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Members can bring their personal documents to be shredded for free, including up to four standard-sized boxes. Please be mindful of the content you bring to be shredded, and avoid any metal or plastic/photo materials.
