April 13^th –  Justice for Lily, 12^th Annual Justice for Lily Sparkle Ball

Although it is a heavy subject, April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month. As a way to acknowledge this, Dort Financial has committed to be a sponsor of the Justice for Lily Sparkle Ball. Since Lily’s tragic death, her mother has maintained a non-profit organization, Justice for Lily. This organization raises money to help other abused and neglected children and their foster families. By sharing Lily’s story, others can learn to speak up and be a voice for other children like Lily. April 17^th – Sloan Longway Mix and Mingle Under the Stars

Save the Date! The 5th Annual Mix and Mingle Under the Stars event is happening Thursday, April 17, 2023! Don’t miss this fun and worthwhile fundraiser with amazing local eats, great company, and fine wines & beer served up by Genesee County’s best chefs and brewers! This event helps provide educational programming to the area’s underserved, and supports Sloan Museum of Discovery and Longway Planetarium’s daily operations. This is intended for adults 21+ only. April 28^th – Humane Society of Genesee County Paws on Parade

The 24th Annual Paws on Parade is coming up on April 28th. This event is held at the beautiful Warwick Hills in Grand Blanc. The annual event is a fundraising effort for the Humane Society and features a champagne reception, gourmet brunch, and a live auction. For more information please visit their website.

May 4^th – Dort Financial Shred Day

This year, Dort Financial is hosting one Shred Day at the Pierson Rd. and State Rd, locations on Saturday, May 4^th  from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Members can bring their personal documents to be shredded for free, including up to four standard-sized boxes. Please be mindful of the content you bring to be shredded, and avoid any metal or plastic/photo materials.
