February 2024 Community Events

This month, we are excited to be a part of several great community events, from charity benefits to classic cars show, you will be sure to find an event that interests you in February.

February 2^nd : FIM Seeing Stars Benefit
If wine fine dining are what you have in mind this February, the Flint Institute of Music’s Seeing Stars Benefit is the perfect event for you! For the past 25 years, this event has been vital in raising funds for the Flint School of Performing Arts tuition assistance program, ensuring that students can study music, dance, and theater regardless of their ability to pay. Last year alone, the Seeing Stars tuition assistance program awarded $230,000 to local FSPA performing arts students and their families. February 10th : Annual Partner with Youth Fundraising Party

Save the date for when we kick off our year of fundraising for the Partner with Youth Campaign at our 15th Annual Fundraising Auction on February 10, 2024. This year’s theme will be “The Great Pumpkin Party”. All proceeds from this event provide financial assistance to families in our community so that they may experience the YMCA. February 9^th – 11^th : Back to the Bricks Chrome and Ice
Dort Financial Credit Union is once again  proud to be the brought to you by sponsor this winter car show. The 9th Annual Chrome & Ice™ will be a three day event, February 9-11, 2024, and will feature an amazing collection of 50’s cars. Plus, it will feature classic, and custom vehicles, sports cars, muscle cars, hot rods, and trucks in the two arenas and on the mezzanine. With more than 50 sponsors and automotive-related vendor displays, demonstrations, concessions, live entertainment, it will be a good time for all. February 24^th   :The Rainbow Connection, Movie Marathon

Enjoy a day of movie fun to help grant wishes for children with life-threatening illnesses! Tickets are available for $65 and include up to 5 first-run films, plus unlimited pop and popcorn! LAST CALL: Harry Awdish Memorial Student Scholarship Open for Applications!

 The credit union movement was founded on the philosophy of “People Helping People”. In keeping with our philosophy, Dort Financial Credit Union’s student scholarship program was established to help our members achieve their higher educational goals. We are offering fifteen (15) $2,000 scholarships this year to graduating high school seniors or older students seeking to further their education after high school.
