GRAND BLANC, MI – Dort Financial Credit Union is proud to announce the results of their 2019 Annual Snowman Sales fundraiser benefiting two local charities. The 2019 beneficiaries, selected by Dort Financial Credit Union employees, split the proceeds totaling $15,540. Funds were raised in the months of November and December from credit union members and team members.

On January 20, 2020 Dort Financial Credit Union presented representatives of The Hundred Club of Genesee, Shiawassee, and Lapeer Counties and the Ennis Center with checks in the amount of $7,770 to each organization.

“The motto for credit unions has always been people helping people and this is just a great way for us to help the community, giving back. This is very important for Dort Financial, it’s who we are, and our employees absolutely love it,” said Deana Turcott, Director of Human Resources.

Dort Financial Credit Union has contributed to the Annual Snowman Sales campaign through donations received from members throughout the holiday season for over 20 years. By purchasing a paper snowman in-branch, members are given an opportunity to make a positive impact on a local charity.

The Hundred Club – The Hundred Club is an organization of Genesee, Shiawassee, and Lapeer Counties residents who contribute money each year for the benefit of public servants who have been killed or disabled in the line of duty.

The Ennis Center for Children- The Ennis Center serves all counties in southeast Michigan and has the mission of creating family stability and providing permanent homes for many children who come from poor, at-risk backgrounds, many of them abused, neglected, abandoned, and medically/emotionally fragile.
