DORT FEDERAL CREDIT UNION PARTNERS WITH LAPEER COUNTY HABITAT FOR HUMANITY

FLINT, MI —Dort Federal Credit Union has partnered with Lapeer County Habitat for Humanity in their 2014 Home Project.  Fifteen Dort Federal team members assisted in the building of a new home as a part of this special project. Dort Federal’s team worked throughout the day on a variety of tasks including the moving of building supplies and clearing out brush.

“At Dort Federal, we’re committed to giving back to the communities we serve and Lapeer County Habitat for Humanity is a great organization that is changing the lives of many by providing them with safe and adequate housing”, said Deana Turcott, Director of Human Resources and team liaison.

Dort Federal Credit Union continues to champion the credit union philosophy of people helping people by partnering with local non-profits and organizations that help strengthen local communities and their residents.

Dort Federal Credit Union has more than 68,000 members with seven locations in and around the Greater Flint area. The credit union’s membership is open to anyone who lives, works, attends school, worships, or volunteers in Genesee, Lapeer, or Shiawassee County, or Deerfield and Tyrone Townships in Livingston County.
