uTransfer is the online product that you need to move money to and from Dort Federal. It lets you set up one-time and recurring transfers to and from nearly any financial institution.

To get started using the service, go here and register. Once you are registered you can start setting up and validating your accounts.

How much does uTransfer cost?
It is free for transfers into Dort Federal accounts. $2 per transfer for transfers out of Dort Federal accounts.

How long do transfers take?
Once you have validated your accounts it takes 3 to 4 business days to make a transfer between them.

What is the maximum amount I can transfer?
The maximum per transfer is $3000.

What is the minimum amount I can transfer?
The minimum per transfer is $20.

What do I have to do to "validate" my accounts?
When you set up a new account, the system will make a small (less than a dollar) deposit into and a small withdrawal out of that account. You note the amounts of the deposit and withdrawal and then login into uTransfer. You input those amounts into the system to show that it really is your account.

What if I don't know the routing and transit number for the financial institution I am trying to transfer from?
You can search for the financial institution in the uTransfer system. If it's not in the system, then you will have to call the bank or find the number on their website.
