Dort Online Banking Newsletter - July 2009
Hi,
Welcome to the Dort Online Banking Newsletter. If someone has forwarded this email to you, and you want to start getting your very own copy, please signup here .
This month's topics:
Car Allowance Rebate System
The U.S. Department of Transportation has setup a website for their new "Cash for Clunkers" program, cars.gov. If you have an old car and desperately want a new one, head over to the site to find out what you need to do to take advantage. The program only runs until November 1, 2009 (or until the money set aside for the program runs out) so don't wait too long.

Calculate Exactly How Long You'll Be in Debt
Lifehacker recently posted a link to the Federal Reserve's Credit Card Repayment Calculator. The calculator shows you how long it will take to pay off your credit card if you only pay the minimum monthly payment. It also shows you how much you will pay in interest over that time. Helpful tool but it may make you queasy.

Funds Transfer
We have quietly rolled out a new service for transferring funds to and from other financial institutions. It's called Funds Transfer and, unlike our other service uTransfer, it's built right into Dort Online Banking so you don't have create a separate user name and password to get started using it. You also don't have to setup your Dort Federal checking and savings accounts to get started; they're already there. Funds Transfer is meant to replace uTransfer but uTransfer will be open and working until we get all of the uTransfer users moved over to the new service.
